Fat Loss Tips

Burning Fat without the Hype - Don’t get caught up in the hype. Get Results!

So you want to burn fat and lose weight?

You’ve read the articles, researched the supplements you need to take, investigated the different dieting strategies, and even researched the different cardio and weight training regimens that work best.

You know it all! You know how to succeed, but why then are you and thousands like you, stuck at this point with all the knowledge but not implementing any of it?

The simple answer is that you are sweating the small stuff; you have gotten THAT invested in not making a mistake, that you have not acted at all for fear of making that critical mistake.

I don’t blame you. There are hundreds if not thousands of experts out there telling you that their method is the best one, and to achieve the best results you have to follow their regime of taking supplements and doing lots of recommended exercises etc.

If you do enough research you can probably find someone who will guarantee that by eating a whole chocolate cake a day you can lose weight. This is the problem with this industry where everyone has a vested interest in “their program”. These fat burning gurus are getting you all caught up with the fine print technicalities without practical action steps.

I am not saying that supplements and a tailored exercise routine are in any way wrong or do not produce results – what I am saying is that the basics of fat burning or weight loss are getting lost in the fine print, and that people get so scared of making a mistake or choosing the wrong course of action that they do nothing at all.

We all know the basic premise of fat loss; you must burn more calories than you eat. Simple, right? Well, that’s also the problem in this techno crazy day and age. The concept appears just too simple, but it is indeed the truth and it is the correct place to start.

Starting and achieving results even small ones is much better than remaining static for fear of not knowing if you are using the “perfect” method. Perfection comes with practice, and the definition of practice is the repetition of an action to improve your performance. So my suggestion is to start on a basic weight loss regime by decreasing your calorie intake and increasing your activity and then once you are moving ahead, then worry about the finer points.

But believe me, once you are making progress, the little technical nitty gritty things will no longer matter to you.

Start out simply with diet adjustments, taking supplements if required, and exercising moderately. If you jump in with both feet and completely alter your life style you most likely will give up without having achieved the fat burning weight-loss results that you wanted.

By making small changes slowly over time, this would be the better, if no the best way to ensure that you stick with it in the long run. How many people do you know who make a New Year’s resolution to burn off their beer belly and abandon it 6 weeks into the New Year because it all became too hard?

The simple way to start an effective fat loss program is to reduce the amount of calories you consume now. You can do this simply by reducing the size of your portions for the time being, if you don’t want to count calories. You must also start to increase the amount of activity you perform every day, and this can be achieved simply in a way that fits your lifestyle too. Park your car further from where you are going to, so that you will have to walk a little further. A neat trick is to get off the elevator one floor early and walk up the last flight of stairs. Over time, get off the elevator two floors early and walk and increase this to a reasonable amount of walking up the stairs.

Even the smaller actions outlined above will have an effect on your weight and help you burn fat. Once some of these small actions are made a part of your everyday routine, you can start to look into more advanced methods, but at least you will be seeing results from the small changes. You will no longer be procrastinating for fear of not doing it “right.”
